I don’t need a reason to be happy!

It happened to me today! Again! I was extremely happy, and I asked myself what was I happy about? Yes, I actually do that a lot of time. It got me thinking, when did we get programmed to have a reason to be happy?

Have you ever seen babies or toddlers? They never need any reason to be happy. They might smile at random things, so do animals. That’s how nature designed us, to be happy at any given time unless, there is some danger to your existence. So just look at yourself now, when was the last time you let yourself be happy without seeking the reason to be so?

I am grateful to have become aware of this bug in our software! It needs to be detected before being fixed and yes, we can do it. Careful monitoring and regular quality checks, what I mean here is awareness of the problem and mindfulness are the only requirements and lo and behold you can be happy without needing to explain to yourself that you have a reason to be happy. That is the most natural way of existence. Don’t just live your life, be ecstatic and rejoice your life!

Don’t believe me? Try taking a deep breath, did you experience any pain? If not, then be happy! Are you breathing on your own or do you need assistance to breath? If you are breathing on your own, then rejoice! You don’t need something big to celebrate your life. If you are busy reading this blog, just take a deep breath and celebrate your life. It isn’t expensive, nor do you have to struggle to feel it all you need is a deep breath and a smile on your face.

Do this often enough consciously and watch it become a second nature. And I guarantee you people will start noticing it and might ask you for the reason. What do you do then? Just give them one of your brightest smiles and say, “I don’t need a reason to be Happy!”
